Someone suggest a good joystick for flying helicopters/jets in battlefield 2

I use a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro I believe. Anyway, it works well although I really have no frame of reference since it is the only joystick I've used with any of the Battlefield games.

I bought a Saitek joystick for playing BF2, but found it was MUCH easier for me to just use the keyboard and mouse. I ended up giving the joystick to a friend.

To the people who claim that "KB&Mouse are better for flying, and you're a noob"

You're idiots.

I'm sure real pilots would LOVE to hear your insight into interfaces for flying.

I've been playing Battlefield since the 1942 demo came out, so you can't call me a 'n00b' and I always do VERY well.

Joystics definitely make it easier to fly in BF. My microsoft joystick of ~8 years died the other week, and I wandered down to frys... and picke this thing up. I'm VERY happy with it.

I can fly heli's very well with keyboard and mouse. Flying jets not so well because on sharp banking turns you've got to constantly push your mouse forwards for the sharpest turn.

my friend has a logitech that is a POS.

the buttons started sticking and dying, the stick always tilts to the upper right, and sometimes it just stops working.

its actually less than 1 yr old.

Saitek Cyborgs, pretty much all metal and heavy duty plastic, quit making them though, replaced with dinky crap.... 🙁

I fly very nicely with keyboard and mouse. Thank you very much.

I guarantee I can smoke any key/mouse pilot out there... nothing like true pilot control with rudders and Logitech F-16 stick/throttle setup hehe..
