Someone stole my credit card number

Well I live in the US and someone has been charging thousands of dollars on my credit card. Thank goodnes i do online banking. Short story I cancelled the card. Kinda of funny things is the fraudulent charges were from restaraunts. That is a lot of freaking food!

The only thing i can think of. Is that a month ago I purchased music from allofmp3 the russian site.

Anyone have similar experiences. What alternatives are there to protect your CC mnumber.

Yep, if you are going to pay for piracy, please just use the torrents.

hey i thought allofmp3 was ok. i use this damn site because members from this forum was reccommending it. PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF ALLOFMP3.

AllofMP3 is a Russian site, which under their law, is able to export these files. Any money you pay them is pocketed by the owners of the site, and the artist recieves nothing.

Please don't use it, as it just supports piracy.

This provides a one-time use credit card number.

Gotta be a very safe way to buy on the net.

It's a Russian site that sells pirated stuff. I can't imagine anyone giving credit card info to a place like that!

If you pay for AllofMp3, you are just as bad as any pirate/P2P downloader! Because you pay for your music, doesn't mean the source is legit!

May as well use LimeWire, BitTorrents, etc...:disgust:

but you can get sued for using bittorrent and not allofmp3

Hmm...quality control vs someone stealing your credit card and charging against it...yeah, real tough call there!

In regards to BitTorrent, I've personally never had a problem...then again, I use it very sparingly...maybe once every 2-3 months if that.

It was not AllOfMP3. Allofmp3 uses ChronoPay(.com), a well known 3rd party international credit card processor. Allofmp3 does not have access to your credit card numbers.

there is this BIG article in teh sacramento bee saying debit card fraud is up in the sacramento region.. apparently tehy are investigating that fraud and it might come form sacramento area restaurants skimming cards.

I mean at aomp3, with paypal if you put $10 in they'll give you $11 in credit
