I signed up for free aohell time! :Q
My ISP was down last night, it's been making a habit of fscking up around 9pm! I've never had a problem before, but last night and the night before there was a period of 1-2 hours where I simply could not get connected. And last night it was crucial that I have internet connectivity, as several school assignments due TODAY depended on it. Of course I shouldn't have left them all to the last minute, but I did - but I did get them done also. Even after all these years since I started with AOL, I still don't like it! It looks exactly the same! WTF did they do since Version 3.0?
Anyway, it was pretty slow, but it worked, fast enough for me to get my work done, and everything worked (IE, OE, MSN messenger, external AOL IM, ICQ, etc). Later that night I reconnected with my original ISP and let out a big sigh.
But it's a piss-off that it quit out on me like that, twice in a row. If it happens again I'm having a little talk to them about their "service". I know it sounds rude/crude, but I really can't have an ISP that I can't depend on - and so far, for 14 months or so now, they've been 100% perfect, I hope they aren't turning into the thousands of other cr@p ISPs.
Anyways, it's so many hours free for aohell - I don't plan to use that many, nor do I plan to stay registered long enough for the '3 months' to evaporate. But at least I'll have connectivity at all times now. *phew*
