Someone recomend a good e-mail provider.

Been looking around for a good e-mail provider and there just seems to be none that fit the bill. What im looking for is a mailbox with at least 500mb of storage, large attachments 30mb+ and some file storage as well maybe 50-100mb. I don't need alot of fancy features and certainly have no interest in gmail, yahoo or hotmail. My current provider is fastmail and I have been waiting for the file storage prices to come down more inline with current pricing, but over a year later nothing. I briefly thought about getting a domain and hosting my own e-mail but that just seems like a pain in the ass and more trouble and expense than needed. Any suggestions?

Hmm, with that in mind I'd suggest gmail.

Even though you may not need the fancy features of gmail, out of all the email services I've used I like gmail by far. If you need an invite, just give me your current email & I can send you one.

I've read the OP, therefore I put "Even though you may not need the fancy features of gmail." As for the 30mb + attachments, I don't know of any email service that provides that. You would most likely need a small webhost & maybe upload files there.

what's your budget?

because 20 bucks a year + 25 one time fee will get you everything you want from fastmail:

600 mb storage
30 mb max attachment
130 mb storage space

fastmail does

I like to be the only one scanning my e-mail so gmail is out. My current provider allows 30mb attachments and I have been spoiled by it, but I need more online file space than is provided and extra space is expensive.

*EDIT* Fastmail is my current provider.

how much would you be willing to pay for your extra space?

A domain and hosting really isn't very complicated to set up. If you have AIM and can contact me I could explain the process to you in less than 5 minutes, and in the end you would have a more versitle solution that fits all your requirements.

Thanks for the offer DeviousTrap but I don't use AIM. With all the e-mail providers around these days I had hoped someone offered what I was looking for without going to the hosting solution.

Sorry rossman, no MSN or any IM progams.

I have a gmail account already that I use for signing up at websites and as a junkmail folder. I need a real e-mail address that is secure and has no privacy issues. And I have 50 invites I can't give away either, but thanks.
