Someone reccommend me a game thats like..

.. a hybrid of Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic. Basically something that's a party based RPG(like M&M) where the combat takes place in a strategic turn based fashion (like HOMM). Anything decent out there? Trying to kill sometime before HOMM IV and Skyrim.

I've been wanting to try this game for ages, however it is not available on steam and still costs like $60 everywhere else -_-

Agree with the King's Bounty recommendation, I played the crap out of The Legend. Armoured Princess is still great but not on par with The Legend in my opinion.

If you don't mind non PC games, there's a lot of great SRPGs on consoles/handhelds. Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX or GBA), Ogre Battle Tactics (maybe even Ogre Battle 64), Disgaea + La Pucelle + Phantom Brave, some of the Fire Emblem games, and I'm sure others I'm forgetting.

Jagged Alliance 2 and Fallout Tactics are squad-level turn based combat with strong RPG elements. Both are cheap and DRM-free at Gog.com.

The mercs in JA2 in particular have a lot of personality, and there is a little bit of party banter like you'd see in a Bioware game (no cutscenes though).

The squad in FO:T are more bland, but the story does have cutscenes.

Thanks for the recs, already played the KB series and Elemental, well, it completely sucks. Something like Fire Emblem is what I'm looking for, are any of those available on the PC?

this is the first thing that came to mind.

OP--it is a Stardock game, so you won't find it on Steam--however, now that Gamestop owns Impulse, you might see Stardock games showing up on steam some time in the future.

Elemental is a good game, though. tainted by woefully early release. THe bugs have been fixed, for the most part, and there are more and more updates, included some expanded campaigns in the near future, I believe.
