Someone ran into my dad's truck after a church session

My parents live right across the street from a church and on Sundays there are a lot of people that attend that day. So much that the parking lot gets overfilled and they have to park on the side streets. My parents have no problem with them parking along the front of their house as long as they don't block the driveway.

Well last Sunday during a church session someone in a white pickup truck ran into the side of my dad's truck. The only ones that saw what happened was our neighbor who came over and told my dad. They couldn't get the license number but just that it was a large, white pickup truck. The damage on his truck was pretty bad in that the whole section after the door was smashed in. There was no note left behind or any attempt to find out whose truck they hit. And this was right after a church session too.

I came out of church once and watched this lady park her minivan and the door swung open and hit my car. She just shrugged her shoulders and went away. I started writing down her plates and she got all defensive and started yelling at me. Church people change their tune real quick when it comes to honesty.

My favorite part was when I threw her the line: "Maam, are you yelling at me? In the parking lot of the House of the Lord?"

See, this is what's wrong w/ religion. People go on murder streaks and get away w/ it 'cause some imaginary being in their subconscious forgives them.

Why does everyone here assume it was someone who goes to the church? He said it was during church, why would they be driving around during church? It could have been someone from the church, or it could have been someone else.

Edit: I see he said during, then after at the end of his post. Either way, could have been someone else.

How do you know the truck was from the church? The timing is sure circumstantial, however. Could it have been from a truck that was NOT related to that church?

yeah, i agree, it was a non-church drunk driver that was on his way home from the bar. not a church attendee

Well if they were indeed there for the session the chances are they are local. Call the police!

Checking out the vehicles in the church parking lot and on the side streets next week would be a good idea.

 Way to lump an entire group of people into one category.

Or possibly checking with the administration of the church...

Interesting how "church people" are like the rest of the population. I see no corrolation here.

That is possible. But the thing is that any day except Sunday the streets are pretty much empty. No other cars besides the home owners. These are all small streets so the majority of people travelling on these roads are the people who live in the area. Come Sunday and it's like after a ball game with everyone trying to leave.

Any pastor worth his salt would be willing to make an announcement in church next Sunday asking for anyone who knows anything about the incident or was involved in the incident to admit their fault.
