So a few days ago I noticed that there was some pressure right behind my eyebrow.
The next morning I woke up and there was much more pressure and a lot of pain. I took a nap and when I awoke the pain was gone and the pressue was all but gone.
Today I wake up and the pain is worse than before. I took some Allegra-D samples that I got a few years ago from my doctor, I also took some tramadol for the pain. No relief yet. I'm about to take a hot shower and inhale tons of steam.
Does anybody else have any ideas on what to do? This is some real crucial pain.

I find that doing 20-30 pushups clears out my sinuses, although only for a few minutes..that time is awesome :)

Go to a Whole Foods Market, homeopathy aisle and look for OLBAS OIL. Back home, pour some drops of this oil in bowl full of damn hot water, put the bowl under your face and cover your whole head with a towel. Then inhale.. and enjoy !

I warn you... it's tough but I think it'll help you a lot.

Tho other solution is to go to your physisian. He'll give you drops (maybe anti-biotics) and you'll be relieved in less than 1 hour.

Go see a doctor. I've had a Sinus infection before and had to take some pills (been a long time so I don't remember what).

My sinuses get swollen easily though from changes in altitude. I hate to fly because if I have a cold or even a little bit of allergies, my sinuses swell up and it is the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. As the plane starts to decend, I start sweating and crying on the plane... it feels like someone is trying to drive nails into my eyebrows.

There is some OTC sinus medicine you can take. It helps some. But if you have a sinus infeciton you probably need to see the doctor.

My scuba instructor "suggested" this: Go deep, upon while ascending, you will develop a reverse block. As you get closer and closer to the surface, the pain will become incredible, then suddenly, your sinuses will get flushed from all the pressure. Painful, bloody, but you'll live.

Personally, I take two advil, two tylenol, and 2 or 3 cups of strong coffee; pain is gone.

There's some sort of thing that you use to run water in your nose and out your mouth - cleans the passageways... most people who use it swear by it. I've been meaning to try it for a couple years, but haven't gotten around to it yet. (chronic sinusitis sufferer due to a deviated septum)

There is a new procedure available which is supposed to solve sinus problems.

Talk to your EENT guy STAT.

(I'm serious).

Oh my god, I've been flying since I was born and had no problems until about I was 12 or so, I was flying to Germany and when the plane started decending I felt the most intense pressue in my sinus cavities, it was one of the most agonzing experiences I've ever had. Ever since then, each flight that I've taken on the decent there is about a 70% chance that I'll get the same agonzing pain. Next time I fly I am going to go to a doctor and get something to help me out.
What I'm experiencing now is actually quite like when I'm flying but not as bad.

If the pain continues tomorrow I am definitely going to a doctor.

I was reading online and saw something how 97% of self diagnosed sinus headaches are actually migranes.
I have a question for anyone who knows about this, my nose is completely clear, so it it possible for one cavity to be clogged and the rest clear?

Seriously, get a doc to check it out. I have had a couple of sinus infections in my life, and I felt like my face was going to explode. Antibiotics cured me in ~2 or 3 days.

I'm going to see a doc as soon as possible. I couldn't get an appointment today and waited too long for tommorow.
Here's hoping to getting an apointment!

I'm not sure if it's a sinus headache or a migrane either. I woke up fine today, but driving down the interstate with my sunroof down, after a while the light really seemed to exacerbate the problem and by the time I got to my house I was in some of the worst pain I've felt.

GL. The worst I've ever had it, I nursed it for over a two weeks, hoping it was just allergies, etc. By the time I finally went to the doc, I was nearly non-functional. I learned my lesson though.

My aunt has a serious sinus issue - she claims there is no real cure for it (but she hasn't had any surgery - me thinks she hates surgery). I think she meant that all medication is only temporary. I sure as hell hope you are not doomed with this. Either way, your doctor knows best.

I had severe sinusitis before I had surgery. Excedrin Migraine or the generic equivalent works the best for me.

I ended up going to an ENT and he performed a sinoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery to correct my deviated septum. My sinusitis is all but gone.

Go to the doctor.

This actually sounds like a migraine, sensitivity to light and/or sound and/or nausea are classic migraine symptoms. Either way you should have a doctor check it out ASAP as there are treatments for both sinus infections and migraines which would probably help.

Check out the wiki on migraines, there is a ton of stuff there which may help you figure out what your problem is.

Here's the rub. When I've not been in pain, the spot where the pain comes from above my eye has consistently felt pressurized and tender.

Regardless, I'm gonna call in the morning to see if there have been any cancelations.
