Someone please help with NIC

OK, I have DSL running through a dual port Intel NIC. I have been running this set-up without a problem for months. A couple of days ago it just stops working. Just the internet port. It says that it is sending packets, but not receiving anything. My friend had another dual port so I swapped mine for his. It starting working again. I came home tonight and it is doing the same thing. What could it be. I honestly never use the computer with the NIC. It is running W2K server and I use a different computer for everything else. I just need suggestions of what it might be. Maybe my ISP changed something? I would at least like to have a better idea of what might be happening. I just need help. I posted when this happened the other night and I didn't get any replies. I reconfigured my internet computer NIC to connect right now. Thanks.

if your NIC work fine in your frinend's computer, I think the problem is on DSL modem or ISP, you should check dsl modem, and see if it work fine or not.

good luck!

I put my friend's NIC in my computer and it started working. Then today it stopped. I can chnage the settings on my other computer and the internet works. I think it is something in the NIC or somehow my ISP stops talking to that particular port. Does it matter which port I use, #1 or #2?
