I have the same problem for about a month now. Randomly, can happen 10 times in 1 day, or 1 time in a week, my computer will freeze, then my monitor will flash off then back on, then either, the computer unfreezes, or... it will repeat the process, or restart.

My temps are fine
My rails seem fine, every rail has a straight line graph except the 5v where its almost straight but flucuates a little bit.

This freezing seems to happen (mostly) when i have MY COMPUTER open and i move the window, when i move it, it will usually freeze.

Any ideas what can be the problem, cuz it has been plaguing me for weeks.

BTW i play Riddick, Everquest 2, and HL2 and I dont freeze while playing... it seems to happen mostly when i move windows.

It sounds like this is a fairly repeatable problem? If so, that helps.

Are you using an SBLive card? They're notorious for this problem.

What other cards are installed?

Did you install the AGP driver for your mobo - most modern mobos require it (I am assuming you did if game performance is good)?

What brand of mouse? Did you install any software or drivers for your mouse? If so uninstall them for now. You don't need them for basic mouse & wheel functionality. Windows will recognize a mouse without installing any drivers or software. Some of them can cause problems like this. Uninstall it for now and eliminate that possibility.

Is this a USB mouse? If so try connecting it to the PS/2 port for now (it may have come with an adapter, or you may have one lying around - worse yet buy or borrow a cheap PS/2 mouse for now to test). Also unplug all your USB devices for now. Just want to eliminate an IRQ issue with your USB controller. I've seen this before.

Hope this helps...

thanks for the help.

ok first
Using onboard sound atm, clean format.

2, this is pci-e card, so i have the Nvidia 71.** drivers installed.

3. I have a usb mouse, but its the same mouse i have been using for the past few months... w/ no problem.

You have heard of the monitor flicking off then back on ? Cuz i havnt
I might RMA every item in my computer

STUPID LEADTEK wont give an advanced RMA tho, which is driving me nuts. They say turn around is 4-6 wks, I WILL NOT WAIT THAT LONG. Whats the point of a warranty policy!

Try running MemTest86 to check your RAM. It is a free download and you never know.
