Someone please help me with the front panel wiring

I'm building a system for my sister with the CM Cavalier 3 case. I have a couple questions about the front panel wiring. What do the Green/White wires do? They are only labeled with a + and - sign, are they for the power LED? Also, what is the purpose of the power cable coming from the front of the case? Is it for the speaker or something? Finally, what is the thin, rectangular thing above the mic plug in this pic?
