I need a black or pink 2gb nano. I know there are tons of better options out there but the person this is for (girl) doesnt care about specs. She wants the iPod. I really dont want to pay full price (148?) for one. If there is a way I can knock this price down a bit it would really help.

Thanks guys.

(please no "free iPod" BS)

How about Refurb iPod? I guess they carry the same 1 yr warranty from Apple and will be abt 119 for 2 gb.

I wouldnt want a refurb just because of how easily they scratch and scuff. Good idea though

That doesn't make any sense.

? arnt refurbs the ones people send back because they are broken? So isnt there a posability they may be scuffed up

Um... no

The Zen Vision M is a hdd based audio player. The nano is a flash based one; different beasts. If you want a flash based creative player, you would need to go with the Zen V or Zen V Plus.

Student discount don't work on Ipods. About the only way you're gonna get a deal is if you have a coupon for a retailer.

I have done well buying the refurbed iPods from Apple's site. Between myself and friends, we have purchased 5 refurbed iPods and got the extended warranty. All the refurb iPods come with clean casings, if they are scratched badly they will replace it before sending it out. It will not come with all the accessories though.
