I bought this mousepad from Staples. I bring it home and place the Microsoft Cordless Optical on it and try to move the mosue around. The pointer on the screen dosesn't budge at all. Normally, on a poorly-relfecting surface, the pointer will skip around a bit. On this pad, it didn't move. So I removed the pad and used mny old, cloth one. Moved just fine.

Now here is the weird part...

I placed the old, cloth mouse directly pad on top of the new one and the mouse pointer would not move at all. All I can assume is the metal frame ineterfered with the wireless signal. What else could it be? Any ideas?
