Dear Homeowner: I wanted to advise you we had a home invasion in the neighborhood last night. Keith and Tisha --------, XXX29 Rosewood, awoke at 2:45 a.m. this morning to find an unknown intruder in their home. The police responded in approximately two minutes and the suspect was arrested in their house. The suspect is approximately 58 years old. Burglary/Robbery does NOT appear to be the motive. It appears that the man was either homeless or disoriented and decided to use the home as temporary shelter.
The intruder entered through an unlock front door. This email is sent as a reminder to always keep your doors locked and your garage doors closed, especially at night. If you see your neighbors garage door open after dark, I am sure your neighbor would appreciate the reminder call that their door is open. If you see something suspicious in the neighborhood, trust your instincts. Call the police. I have spoken to numerous police officers over the years, and they have consistently confirmed they would rather respond to prevent a crime than take the report of a crime.
