I don't know much about being the captain of a boat, but to me that looks like a pretty large ship to be that close to shore.

I don't pretend to know what's going on there, or at that specific port, but most of those resort areas (I'm thinking Caribbean, but I imagine a lot of the Mediterranean destinations are similar) have very deep water right up to port. These islands are essentially the peaks of very large mountains, so the ocean floor drops off sharply right at the beach. That's why many of these titanic cruise vessels can dock so close in.

People died on that thing they had friends and families

It's the 100th Anniversary of Titanic, let's do it again!!!

Titanic sank in April of 1912...and not even in the same matter as in the picture.

Now her sister ship Brititanic did sink in the same matter but due to apparent sea mines during ww1 in 1916....

Edit:fixed for the perfectionist douche bags in the forums here...try running on no caffeine and make such a post lol.

Good news, if this turns into a really really shitty movie 80 years from now I'll be dead by then.

They were trying to get to shallow water After hitting a submerged object.

Looks like they accomplished their mission. It looks pretty damn shallow.

the Captain was arrested for abandoning ship and manslaughter. whoa.

I know it's early, but I nominate this post for most "wtf" post of 2012.

The captain of the boat overshot the runway on landing because he forgot to put the flaps down.

Don't you people know anything about boats?

:hmm:

If the captain doesn't know how to operate flaps, there's no way the ship takes off in the first place.

Reminds me of Battlefield 1942. Everyone, including me, would always beach the damn ships and everyone would rage on the team... Some would try to use a bigger ship to free the beached one, and get that stuck too. lol

I know it's early, but I nominate this post as the first reported post of 2012 see i got the year right this time.

As a admin i wouldn't expect such a flame i don't know if its abusive administrative powers or you simply don't care but i know its not a useful post at all hence the report.

Accusing someone of abuse of power because YOU made so many errors is not acceptable. Ever.

Dr.Pizza mentioning the fact that you don't use land mines in the sea and ww2 didn't happen in 1916. :awe:

Oh, almost forgot to mention... the ship was the HMHS Britannic not Brititanic.

Rebels must have taken out one of the forward deflectors before an A-wing hit the bridge...
