someone needs a timeout

A time out?!?! Yes, he did post the same thread in 3 different forums, but still... I don't think that constitutes a banning. A warning, yes, but a banning?

Oh, BTW, mods like links. You might want to add those to the "offending" threads.

Yes a time out ! if this guy kept it to off topic I could agree with you yiwonder but this guys spamming the motherboard and cpu and general hardware forums with his Anti AMD agenda thinly vieled in the guise of asking for "help"

Look, it's not that I like the guy. In fact, I see him to be a PITA, but he did ask a question in his post. He went to General Hardware (where it seems everybody goes with whatever off-the-wall question they've got). He also posted in Motherboards because his posts states he wants help in choosing a mobo and chipset. I have no clue why he put it in CPU, but I think you guys are overreacting here.

As for you, Viperbob, there are tons of people that have strong feelings about chip manufacturers (ok, AMD versus Intel...), but those people aren't banned because of that. Was that flamebait? Yes, but it wasn't the entire point of his post. If he wants to turn his back on AMD, then fine, go ahead, but I doubt he realizes how much AMD has done whether he likes their procs or not.

Once again, I can't stand the guy, but that doesn't mean he should be banned this time. If he does it again, then show DocSmarts the door.

<< ban and timeout are 2 dift way off things >>

Unless I'm missing something by the term "time out" aren't you just talking a short ban? Then how are they 2 totally different things?

I really don't see the point of the analogy of the intel vs amd debate, both being cpus from different manufacturers. Your arguement on the other hand is that a ban and timeout are different, while they are exactly the same thing, you get banned it just depends on for how long.

I don't get the Intel/AMD analogy😕

A timeout is usually a week or two while a ban is permanent. What has that to do with CPU's???
