Nope in 98 and ME, it still ran at the same res. I couldn't go higher than 1024x768.

What type of monitor is it?

(Honestly, I've never ever had to install monitor drivers to anything, except my laptop)

Hmm..good question
I've seen Windows install the drivers for the monitor...but never seen it ask for monitor drivers it didn't already have.

Have you tried setting it to Standard VGA monitor? I think there's a standard 1024x768 monitor driver built into Windows. Maybe you can use that until you can find the drivers

Update: Try this page and search for Monitor Information File. There's an .exe file that may have the drivers you're looking for.

Yzzim, Windows doesn't ask for a driver for the monitor. It just installs my monitor as a plug 'n play monitor, which is why I think I don't get the resolution higher than 1024x768.

You need the monitor's INF file which can be downloaded here.

It won't guarantee a resolution higher than this, but this is the monitor's default driver.

Good luck.
