all 3 Computers are working on WinXP SP1

Athlon 2.500, with the old Client 3:00, with the new P3 Client 2:23

Athlon64 3.200+ with the old Client 2:30, with the new P3 client 1:30

the seti-p4-no-sse3 client is not working on my Athlon64

Pentium 4 3.2 with HT, with the old Client 3:20, with the new p4-no-sse3 Client 1.55

that is realy a very good improvement

no one here are using BOINC and have interest at a speziall Version for Windows, wonder if all using Linux...

Well, you can try re-naming the thread-title to also include windows, maybe more response then... 😉

Are currently occupied with CPDN, but a quick test shows atleast 25% speed-increase on Amd with the optimized application. :thumbsup:


BTW, since most of the active seti-crunchers is still stuck doing "classic", don't expect much response here before "classic" is killed-off...
 
I tried the linux x86-64 client for classic and it's slower than molasses. I was getting 4 wu/day out of my 3000+@2.25 GHz.
 
Something strange is going on with the v1 S@H stats(non-BOINC). Just this week I'd gotten up above the 5000th place point.. like 4,977th place - and now(this morning), I'm back down to like 5,050th place! :Q That's quite a drop in ranking OVERNIGHT! :Q :roll:

 
For some reason the stats-script in "classic" crashed 04.07, and this wasn't fixed before 22.07.
It can take some days before all stats is updated, and when the script will re-loop.

Between each time the stats is updated, you'll climb the ranks as if no other users is returning anything, and when stats at last is updated you'll drop down to your real rank. With nearly 3 weeks since stats last updated, it's also chances for bigger drop than normally.
 
This thread is a tad old but rather than start a new one...............besides it was SirUlli's to begin with.

I downloaded the optimized windows client from Linky and installed it. (Or look through the thread and use SirUlli's links.) for my A64 3200+ (Winchester) : YAOSCW-W-r8.1

Unfortunately I did this during a time when the servers were down and it caused me some heartburn getting started, but I got it going finally and it is way faster. after six or seven WU's I can see this computers production went from an average of 9.8 WU/D to approx. 18.2 WU/D. :Q In seconds it compares well to the benchmaked unit, maybe a few seconds faster.

So thanks SirUlli for the headsup. :thumbsup: As soon as I get time I will try to install one of the other optimized clients on my XP's.

This like getting a new computer except it doesn't cost as much...................😛
