Should be somewhere in the security menu IIRC. Pretty sure Linksys has documentation on their website that shows where it is.

It's wireless --> wireless security

but there are 7 options none of them clearly states "WPA"
 
Probably need to update the firmware then. Check the router to get it's version number (should either be in the web config or on the underside of the router) download the appropirate file and instructions and flash away. Just be sure to do it over an ethernet connection, not a wireless connection.
 
I'd like to tell you the tools to use to scan and have access to his computer.

But then I would be banned.

Secure your wireless. Because whenever I do "bad stuff", I do it on somebody elses connection. And by bad stuff I mean ethical hacking.
