Nah, the pipes were the same size as what came off, and other than the X design having slightly less backpressure than the traditionaly "H" design, I doubt I'd get more than a 1/2 to a mpg on the highway from the pipes alone.

1) gas merchant might be ripping you off
2) your gas reader might be out of tune, maybe you should check it out by a mechanic
