This is the deal.

I have an older Mercedes diesel, a 1983 300D.
They never sold this car in the USA with a stick, only the 4 cylinder diesel 240D.
They sold the 300D just about everywhere else in the world with a stick shift and the 5 cylinder diesel.

I want to put a stick in my car, the only thing I can't manage thus far is the correct flywheel for a manual trans 300D with the 5 cylinder diesel. The one from the 4 cylinder 240D will work, but it's not right for several technical reasons.

I'm a parts man by trade and have exhausted every avenue I have at locating one, my last recourse is to beg someone in Europe to call around to a few used auto parts joints and try and find me one and ship it here. The part itself is a flat disk about a foot across and weighting probibly twenty pounds.

If anyone is in Europe and thinks they might be able to help, or knows anyone, or anything, please, please contact me. I'm down right desperate, and this is the best place I can think of to ask.
I've tried ebay europe, searched till I'm blind online, called almost a hundred euro parts outfits in the US, nothing. Please help? My thanks...

Do you know if they sold that model in Canada? If so, give some parts places here a call.

Not sure if Canada got them or not, I don't believe so though.

As for model type, the only thing I think it can come from is a non turbo w123 300D with the OM617 5 cylinder. They never made a factory turbo diesel with a stick at all. If any of the others had a manual trans with that 5 cyl it would work I believe.
