No monitor, just the unit. Intel p4 3.06HT, 256mb DDR?? Ti4600 VIVO, 60gb hdd.........and some other bling blings.....

I almost puked my dinner out. He's working as a tech support in the college too.....

I'd expect 3.06 GHz, at least 1GB DDR, 2x120GB HDD, etc...not the POS he got.

Silly fool.
Thought you would have taught your friends by now not to buy any computer stuff without contacting you first.
As an afterthought - try getting him to return it to the store.
But geez, US$2500?

Holy crap. That better have some kind of hardcore DVD+-R/RW 4x dual-drive setup, and a four-channel RAID.
I'd never pay that much for a system.
Money is better spent on useful things in life.

Get this, I'm not working in the uni's tech support team so I'm not l33t enough for him to consult. Besides that, all those guys that work in there are morons. Overpaid morons. :) With 2.5k. I would have gotten more than just my dream machine dude.

He has blown a tbird by just powering it on just to see if it's working without a hsf, he floors his honda even if it's a small distance, he paid 400 bucks for a remote starter on his car. I don't know man. He blew 11k in 2 months when he first came to the States. :) He blamed VIA for all his computer problems. LOL, he's better off with a dell or...Sony?? :D

There's a DVD-RW on that system though. I think it's 2x. I'm still shocked. :D

Sony laptops are just as bad. They only got a D on customer satisfaction in PCworld. I actually work on them also, a D grade was generaous.

hell yeah!
I havn't bought a prebuilt machine in a long while. I like the money I save and the whole process of building it. Great fun.
With $2500 I could build something bitching. When I first built the machine I have now (well, the case and casefans are the only thing thats part of the original system) I spent 1700 and it was top of the line at the time.

Smack with a cinder block for two reason.

1) He overpaid for a pre built.
2) It's Sony.
