i can see why they were upset.

1. he pays property tax
2. maintains the property so it looks good
3. doesnt want some ass taking a dog on a dump run in his yard

i do not have a dog and dont understand how its accepted that its ok to have somebody walk their dog and let it shit or piss on your private property. So they have a bag and pick it up, big friggin deal. I still dont want your animal on my property.

It's an apartment complex....and it wasn't even on his side of the apartment. Also, it's a dog friendly complex. Also, I pick my shit up...It's not like I just moved here.

ahh, apartment complex, kinda anal people then

Yeah, if it were a neighborhood and it was THEIR yard that they maintained, then I wouldn't be too surprised. I'd be pissed too if someone came onto my property and just dropped a bomb and walked off without saying anything.

But they were bringing in groceries, and i was across the complex road from them in a grassy area that's on my side of the complex. So I figured they'd have better things to do then try to make enemies, even though I've been here for a year picking shit up when it happens. This place has been pretty chill otherwise. Other people don't have a problem with my dog and I.

Seriously though, the only people that should be bitching and cursing are the maintenance and landscaping guys cause they're the ones who clean up the crap that no one picks up every morning.

Sometimes people say they are coming back, but then they "forget".. just bring extra bags next time and save everyone the aggravation..

Lol. The idiot on the end of our street came outside and made a big deal out of our dog sniffing around on their lawn the other day. Then he says he tells it to everyone with a dog.

What a douche.

So you walk your dog in the evening after work. Dog usually doesn't poo because dog doesn't eat much during the afternoon. Either way, I have my doggy bag carrying bone thing. So you get a grassy area and as your dog is grazing, people happen to be passing by or coming home. Dog gets in pooing position and neighbors watch and glare. I reach for a bag, and low and behold ti's out and I need to put in a refill. But let me ask you this, does it ever run through your mind "Fuck, these people are going to think I'm some kind of an asshole to not pick the shit up, even if I'm walking back to get a bag.". So I contemplate between picking up the dookey with my hands or going for a bag at home. So naturally I got with the choice that doesn't involve me picking up my dog's turd. As I headed back, I heard the wife say "I knew it" and shortly after, I hear, "HEY YOU!" like 3 times. I turn around and her husband is cursing at me and telling me to "Pick the fucking dog shit up!". I raise up the holder and say, it's out of bags, chill out. Wife chimes in and says, and repeats what he says and he says the same goddamn thing afterwards. So I roll my eyes, head back, refill, and head outside to get the mail at the same time. He's still outside moving the car and getting the mail. I pick the shit up and chuck it from the grass area at the trash can where he's at. Sadly, it goes in and I walk up next to him and get my mail. Seriously, you must be living a sad sad life if you really need to bitch and escalate a situation like that. Living in Irvine and acting like your some badass asian gangster =/.

I always take a bag or two for this reason. There are some really inconsiderate dog owners so I don't blame neighbors for reacting.

But the scariest moment I had was when I left my dog for 8 hours, came home and took her out. She had been holding really really bad diarrhea for hours, and as soon as she got to the neighbors lawn (the parking strip), she let it go. It was a 12" puddle of absolutely disgusting mucus-y pooey slimey muck that was impossible to clean up.

Thank god no one was home. I came back out with some pitchers of water to try and wash some of it away and dilute it.

i don't understand. why is the guy a douche for wanting to keep the neighborhood looking nice and clean? many people don't clean up after their pets, how's he supposed to know that you're not one of them? maybe next time you make sure you have bags before you go out, or explain that you ran out of bags and that you'll be coming back to clean it up. situation is resolved amicably, right?

Would it have been hard to just look at them (since you knew they saw you) and yell over "I'll be right back, out of baggies"

that would require actually talking to the neighbors and who wants to do that? It would have been much easier but not nearly as fun as posting on AT complaining about it

Oh nvm, I'm just being silly.

No, shit. But I FORGOT and was outside already. You guys are incredible. The whole point is that it they shouldn't have escalated it to that level. Can always count on the tards that think they'll never ever forget anything at any point in their lives.

Wanting to keep your place clean and nice is one thing. Cussing someone out and having your wife join you when you had no sure idea that they had ill intentions is another. On top of that, even after they told you they just needed to grab a bag if you continued to go nuts then yeah, you're a douche. Especially when you have kids and you're supposed to be setting an example.

Read OP, I even told him after he started CUSSING me out yet he still continued to pour it on (then his wife jumped in to join him). Seriously, you guys must be socially retarded to think he was in line with how he handled itconsidering I'm always walking my dog throughout the day (morning, afternoon, evening etc etc). He could catch me ANYTIME he wants if he saw that I did not in fact come back. BTW, I'm down with mentioning something if I was right next to them, but i'm not about to go across the street up to his door while he's bringing in groceries to tell him i'll be back and then run back to my place. I especially wouldn't feel like doing that now after knowing how they are. Like I said, I know other people in this complex and they see me going about my business and they know. One person even asked me and I showed him the bag thing.

They looked like they were busy living their own lives so I thought I'd get a bag and come back (which is literally, less than a minute walk because it's right outside my place). Hell, it'd be one thing if I didn't come back and they saw me again.

That's the point, they don't know so they shouldn't go ape crazy and assume and at the same time make enemies for no reason. Hell, we live together so they'll see me again eventually so if I didn't pick it up, they could let me know what's on their mind then. But I don't care. I pick up my shit (literally). And I guess you two clowns missed the part where I said I told them what was up when I turned around and they just continued huffing and puffing.

And I specifically have this one (although just black). So it's kinda like bringing extras because it's a big roll of bags. I got this so that I'd never be without a bag. It was just out of bags and I walked out the door. Honest mistake.

I just assumed from your op that they were watching this happen

Dog gets in pooing position and neighbors watch and glare.

IMO a good neighbor would have just said "Hey Bob, ran out of bags but I'll be right back to pick this up. Sorry." It's easier than leaving them to wonder what's going to happen to the steaming pile of turds in their yard.

my douchebag neighbors let their dogs shit in my yard every damn night. no matter how many times ive asked them nicely to stop letting this happen. i shovel it into their gravel yard whenever i see it, but they dont even care. just let it sit there. ive almost kicked their dogs out of my yard with prejudice, but im not a dog kicker. i have scared the dogs so much they start barking as soon as they see me usually, and yelling at the parents doesnt have any affect at all. next stop, animal control.

in your situation, id have told him to fuck off after telling him i was out of bags.

It's not their yard..... it was across a small street in a tiny grassy area on my side of the apartment complex. Do you guys just dismiss the fact of how they reacted? IMO that way overshadows the fact that I didn't want to yell to them while they were putting groceries away. Because I'm minding my own business.

Why should have to explain to other people that he's out of bags.

Because his dog crapped on their lawn and as it looked, the op was just going to wakl away and leave it. Dont be a douche, pick up after your dog.

Yeah, I understand why the guy flipped out but he did go WTF ape shit. I guess you should have hollered that you were out of bags before you ran off but I can understand why you don't really want to give a dog dump play by play to everyone.

It is "crappy" that the neighbor gave you a hard time, but seriously, noone seems to give a "shit" about being civil and taking care of things, especially renters.

Neighbors moved to a bigger house, rented their house to some people who couldn't afford the house normally, but when 4 people live there (plus two kids), they can afford the rent. They don't do jack to the house or yard. People just don't care so I can't fault the guy for getting suspcious of the OP, but the call out is probably just bottled up frustration for all the other people who don't care.
