Hey all,

ARGH!!! Internet connection sharin is a pain in the butt! I HAD wingate running fine, then i installed zonealarm on the host, now that won't work. I tried shuttingdown zone alarm and reinstalling the program and it STILL doesn't work :|. Then I tried useless win98 ICS, bah, don't get me started on that. What other choices do i have?! 🙁
 
You probably have to uninstall and reinstall your TCP/IP stack.

If you get the message about installing a file that is older than a current one, select that you DO NOT want to keep the newer one but instaed to use the older one.

WinGate is a nice program but doesn't like ZA.

Try it and let us know.
 
I use WinRoute. It lets you close all ports and forward only those you want so you don't really need ZoneAlarm except for possible Trojan Horse and Spyware protection. Therefore, I run ZoneAlarm on other computers connected to the one that runs WinRoute.

I uninstalled wingate, and I re-installed the TCP/IP Stack. Now I'm using winproxy and it's working great!😀
