Someone help me understand

I was under the impression that waverunners held more than 1 person, and jet ski's are single person vehicles. I am probably wrong with this and now I am curious about the differences. Is one just a brand name like how "Xerox" means "copy" to people now?

Secondly, what are the watercraft that are in the video game series "Waverace" where you stand up on them?

Jet Ski's are considered those watercraft where you can kneel or stand on. Waverunners are watercraft that you sit down on and ride like a motorcycle.


They are commonly used to describe each other though.

Wrong.....they are just brand names......

Bombardier -- Sea Doo
Kawasaki -- Jet Ski
Yamaha -- Wave Runner

I knw the stand up one that Sea Doo makes is called the Sea Doo 3D

They basiacally just have Model numbers like cars....

GTI, GTX , GTI RFI, RXP.....and so on.

Yes:
Kneel, stand, sit
So, you could say a "standing wave-runner" or "Kneeling wave runner" or "sit-down wave runner" 😛
