someone help me find this song

as I was driving home from work tonight, I hit an inordinately long traffic light and was stuck next to this car blaring music.

the song they were listening to was kind of a catchy, up-beat emo song, but I have no clue what radio station (or cd) they were listening to or who the artist was. all I remember was that it was a male lead singer and the chorus went something like "you could have died in somebody else's arms, and I'd have to live with that". google's no help.

I've got it stuck in my head and it's already fading fast reminds me of that Pete and Pete episode where little Pete finds "his song" and never gets to hear it again.

That was one of the songs that stuck with me when I first heard their new album. It kind of reminds me of U2 about halfway through the song.
