someone hacked my computer?

I had two account with tera-byte.com (a web hosting server). They suspended my accounts two days ago and said because I was running IRC bots on it. I never did that and I don't know how to run IRC bots. They said it might someone who hacked my computer and did it.
Is that possible? I am using cable modem, and can someone hacked my computer and know my id and password?

I wrote another complain mail to them and asking for evidence and ask them to recheck this mistake. The sent me a mail with directory of my sites, and bunch of words that I don't understand. They probably find me too annoying and they threaten me that there is a fine of US$500 for each incidents...

What should I do?

Get a good virus scanner. Like Norton AntiVirus 2001. This will detect any Zombies or any other trojans on your machine.

And get a cheap firewall. Like Zonealarm. This will prevent anyone from hacking in the future.

I would tend to believe your ISP until you have completely convinced yourself that they are wrong. Do you have a wireless network?

I do have zonealarm and I am not using wireless network.

It bugs me when tera-byte.com just suspend my accounts without providing any evidence. I asked for evidence, and they sent me a list of my directory, which I don't know how it relates to running irc bots.

Sounds like you my have some zombies lurking in your systems. If so, the hacker probably had access to every keystroke and byte of info on your systems, and could have easily messed with your online web accounts.

A cleansing is in order; and it would probably be a good idea to change some of the more pertinent account info while you format your drives.

check ur system thoroughly .. but i just doubt it, i think your hosting company probably messed up, and now is too arrogant to admit it, its just not very likely .. oh ya, ive never heard of a hosting service being like that .. me i would demand proof, I wouldnt just sit there and take that from them, but thats jus me heh .. well good luck ..
