Someone from Baskin Robin's Called Me

Someone from the Baskin Robin's ice cream chain called me and left a message stating that they had received an application from Eric and to call them back. I'm not Eric and I never applied for a job at Baskin Robin's. They didn't leave a # though. What should I do?

P.S. Isn't it kind of odd for a GUY to apply to work at Baskin Robin's? Everytime I've been in there I've pretty much only seen young women working there.

Well, if you do call them and tell them you're NOT Eric, what are they going to do? Chances are the guy didn't write down the right phone number (weird in and of itself), otherwise they wouldn't have called you right? If the guy's too stupid to remember his own phone number, who's to say he deserved the job anyways?

Maybe the worker just mis-dialed the number.

And now why would you want to work with a dumbshiat like that? You're doing Eric a favor, here! ;)

You can't call them back (you said they didn't leave a number), so what can you do? Nothing.

or mistook a "3" for an "8" on paper...

Or, maybe Eric didn't print clearly on his job application. Therefore, he doesn't deserve to WORK at Basking Robbins.

If someone can't print clearly, I damn sure don't want them scooping my ice cream. ;)

That's more likely, IMO. I got a message like that once, and I called back to tell them to try the call again. I'm nice to strangers looking for jobs in that way. Too bad they didn't leave their number, because unless there's only one BR in the phone book, they just screwed little "Eric" out of an opportunity without realizing it.

There's no such thing as a phone book? Maybe there's only one BR in the phone book. I'd at least check. I can only think of one BR left in my area. (And I just checked the phone book--I was right.)

The Baskin Robbins we go to has mainly male workers. No one has called me though.
