I know the warranty on my 360 is about to run out, I bought it used (although it had only been used for about a month when I got it) and it had the extended 2 year warranty, that was back when the 360's had a 90 day standard warranty. That then got extended to 3 years when MS upped the starting warranty to 1 year. I think it runs out in late September or early October.
I had my 360 die on me (non-RROD) in Dec '07 and they sent me a new unit, that doesn't extend my warranty at all does it (I doubt it).
What do new 360's come with now? Reason I ask is because I'm looking at another used (local) 360 Jasper arcade unit to replace the console I've currently got. Seller says it has a 3 year warranty (apparently the card hasn't even been filled out yet), I didn't know if that was standard now for all 360's or if that's a purchased extended warranty.
Seller seems like a straight shooter, never had it online, is not giving a "too good to be true" deal (all I really want is the console and power brick, I think I can get 'em for $140). If it was an extended warranty and no tax and such, is that worth it?
