Someone cut up a CAT5 cable. Can I just join it to a new connector?

Hello! Someone cut up a CAT5 cable like so so I only have the wires in my hand:

I do not have a crimping tool or anything else like that. I do have soare 1FT cable which I can cut and then just join the cables up so I can get a connector. The reason I don't just replace the cable is because it is a hell of a lot of work to replace it. If I can get the job done with some good old hack-job, it will suffice. It is for a home computer, not too critical.

Is the cut end near the final location? Real easy to get a jack, terminate it, then just plug the patch cable into it. You can find jacks with a little manual punchdown tool included at Home Depot even.
