Someone broke into my car.....

but they did not take anything.....

hmmm....

I got my car this morning and it was unlocked, so I was like, "WTF???"

I then went to sit inside and I noticed papers and CDs everywhere. I looked in the back seat....My box full of electronics from my job was dumped all over but not taken. Nothing was taken, I suppose. I had a few stray credit card offers in there, but they are long expired and the ones I rememered were still in my car. I also noticed on the roof of my car was a few random letters I had. I am guessing he must of took something. You think I should be worried? I think the guy was just looking for cash b/c he did not even bother looking in my trunk. That would have been a sure gold mine for more expensive stuff.

you better keep an eye on your credit report for the next year or so just incase that person tries to open any account under your name.....

I had someone break into my beat up old Trans AM before. Well, he didn't really break into it as I always keep it unlocked. Some papers and other things I had lying in there were moved around, but not taken. He/She must have realized just how crappy the car was and moved on. It didn't worry me as much as amuse me when I noticed it.

At least they left the car intact, I came out from work one day the find the only thing remaining was the broken door lock.

A few weeks later the police found my beloved GMH 1987 VL Commodore Turbo, stripped and burnt out....not happy jan

I had my GMC Jimmy broke into at our apartment complex. They stole my JVC crappy cd player and thats it. I had college books and my watch right there. It was cool though, got a new Alpine MP3 player through insurance.

My brother in law works on industrial construction sites, which sends him all over the area here.

A couple of weeks ago he was assigned to a site in a not-so-good part of town.

On day 1, in a fit of stupidity, he drives his new Trail Blazer to work. After work his hub-caps were missing, but that's it...lucky for him.

On day 2, he drives his beat-to-hell pickup to work. After work, the tires are missing (including the spare) the radio is gone, almost everything from inside is gone, the (empty) toolbox in the back was gone. He coulnd't figure out 1) how no one on or near the site noticed this going on, and 2) why they didn't just take the whole truck...lol.

He and his co-workers have setup carpools since then, so they're able to fit all of the cars inside the fence on the site.

I live in the good part of boston....so i am guessing that when I left my car and put the keys in my pocket, something must have pushed my remote (probably my wallet) and unlocked my car (my car locks itself when you shut the door with no keys in the ignition). Easy target, I guess.... Other than that, I see no other reason why they would not break into one of the many BMWs in the area. Crazy thing is, I always see a guy walking on the street looking to random cars and jingling door handles. Next time I see him, I am gonna open his nose.

I came out a week ago only to discover that someone had broken the driver's side window on my car. The door was still locked and nothing was taken. SUCKS! Probably just some punk kids randomly knocking out windows in the neighborhood since my vehicle wasn't the only one "hit."

ROFL!!! I was cleaning my car.....found his keys:laugh: Not only did he no take anything, but he left things behind. It does not look like a house key, but it looks like keys to a series of different locks.
