Somebody want to download a file & report their average speeds?

3dfx Voodoo³ WHQL 1.07.00

Mine starts out high (9+ K/sec), then drops rapidly to well below 2 K/sec & then times out completely. I have yet to successfully download this file.

It's doing it for other files as well, including DX8.0a from MS's download sites.

I've been talking to my ISP to find out what the problem is, but they're not being much help.

Also, if anybody is willing to do this it would be WONDERFUL if you could loan me an ID/pwd + a dial-up number to try connecting through a different ISP. I don't know for sure if my ISP is at fault, but if I can try through another that would help determine the source of the problem.

I get the same thing from that site, but from here I got around 300 k/s.

and this is cable, not dial-up!
