Somebody stop me.. (it's upgrade time!)

I'm about to order these new parts...

P4 2.53GHz Retail - $243
512MB Corsair XMS PC3200C21T DDR $184
Gigabyte 8IEXP - $139

I'll be upgrading my current motherboard/setup with this which is a 1.1GHz TBird w/ 384MB of PC133. My current HDD that I'll still be using is the infamous 40GB 60GXP. Video is a GF3 Ti200 64MB; monitor 17" Sony (next up for upgrading along with video card when NV30 comes out).

Have it. Great OC board with the locking of the PCI bus. Got me almost 1000Mhz oc on a 1.6a at default voltage.

Hehehe, nah, it's going to be converted to Linux and eventually when the linux server is out, turned into a Battlefield 1942 server at work on the T1s 🙂

Anyway, I ordered it.

Total was $569.00 w/ 2nd day FedEx (only 2.50 for shipping total) from GoogleGear. Gotta love their prices, and the shipping made it a no-brainer.

NewEgg is just too damn expensive compared to places like GoogleGear as of late. I'll post my OC results when I get the rig mid next week!

Yeah, I've noticed Googlegear has the best deals on mobos CPUs and memory. But Newegg will give better prices and shipping on drives, cases, video cards, etc...

TOTALLY AGREE! Can't believe NewEgg start getting greedy! Apparently, they don't know what is the meaning of "BBS-Effect", especially the "Anandtech EFFECT!!!!". 😉 All I need to do is look for better deal else where and posting it .........
They better, I mean seriously reconsider their pricing stratedgy!!!!!!

Good choice of hardware. You will not regret getting some of the highest quality memory that one can find. Also, that motherboard has been praised on various sites for having lots of features at an excellent price as well as being totally stable. You will definitely not be dissapointed. Good luck.
