Somebody in Miami needs to find a female volunteer, an open window, & a dark room...

No. THat would be too easy and painless...I have a better idea

1)a [attempted] Vasectomy performed by a blind mute.
2)Sodomy by that 24-inch-penis fellow who keeps popping up on the computers at school

Open window, with a supermodel sitting in a chair reading a book, with 20 cops sitting in a corner. Or, replace 20 cops with a guy with a shotgun aimed at crotch-level. :|

How would it be vigilante justice?

If you can think of a legitimate reason to crawl in a stranger's window in the middle of the night with a gun or knife I'll gladly edit my thread.

vigilante

1. One who takes or advocates the taking of law enforcement into one's own hands.

seems pretty clearcut to me.

Shooting someone that breaks into your place isn't law enforcement, it's self defense.

That's not what Viper is talking about. He's talking about setting up a citizen's sting to kill someone who deserves due process just like the rest of us would. That's not self defense, it's vigilante justice.

No, I am talking about self defense.

The volunteer would be raped if someone didn't intervene.

Whoa, dude snuck into a house and raped the 7 and 8 year olds in their bedroom... There's probably a good chance the parents were in the living room watching TV or something when it happened. Imagine that.

konichiwa is right. It's not self defense if you bait the guy.

I turn to the wisdom of the simpsons for proof (cat burglar episode):

Wiggum: Once a man is in your house, anything you do to him is nice and legal.
Homer: Oh really? Hey Flanders, won't you come join me in my kitchen? heh heh heh
Wiggum: It doesn't work if you invite him in.
Flanders: Hellodeliy-odelli
Homer: Get lost.
Flanders: Okely-dokely

Okay, so that doesn't quite work, but it's funny anyways. :)

That's basically saying a woman who chooses to sleep with her window open asked for whatever happens.

Come on Viper. This is called willful ignorance.

If you purposefully bait someone into doing something in order to kill him, you ARE taking the law into your own hands. No, a woman who sleeps with her window open doesn't DESERVE what happens to her but when you ask a woman to volunteer as bait, and wait in the corner with your shotgun for the guy to come, you can't honestly claim self defense.

Not to mention you can't use deadly force unless you are in fear of your life. And although you probably would get off if put on trial just because no one would condemn you for killing this psycho, it's still wrong.

But you refuse to see that, so...oh well. It just makes my stomach churn.

No it's not. I don't know where you got that from. She's allowed to defend herself. No one said she couldn't. Looking for a reason to kill the guy is wrong though. He's entitled to a fair trial.

1. If a woman in that neighbourhood sleeps with her window open while this guy is still loose she's just plain stupid.
2. There's a reason why insurance won't cover the theft of your car if you leave it running with they keys inside it. In a perfect world it SHOULDN'T get stolen, but this is the real world. There's also a reason why the car companies provide locks and keys for your car and why it's illegal to booby trap your car with a bomb that will go off if it's stolen.

Churn away then. If you want someone more receptive to your views, take your John Q Pantywaist whinings to a nearby Tupperware party, MADD meeting, or Bible Club.

Viper, can I get one good hack at the S.O.B. with my katana first? I promise I'll only take off an arm from the elbow joint down, or a leg from the knee. After that, you're free to open fire.

What if the RIAA set up a superfast mp3 server and logged IPs?

They have, and they prosecuted people. But in conjuction with law enforcement.

More of the same crap. If attacking those who would preserve your rights and fuming your aggression makes you feel safe, don't let me stop you. You only make yourself look idiotic.

You can't trick someone into raping you.
No sane person would ever rape another.

Um, excuse me? If you're attempting to make some retarded analogy about how I'm "denying him the right to a fair trial" just stop right now. Far as I'm concerned, any guy breaking into/climbing into my house in the middle of the night is a threat, and I'm going to respond as such. If I "just happened" to be awake at the time, crouched in the corner with my weapon at the ready, he'll "just happen to be" disembowled and his next of kin billed for the carpet cleaning.

But hey, if you want to sit there and call 911 while he's raping your daughter instead of, god forbid, doing something about it, be my guest.

If he's breaking into your house and "raping your daughter," then I've got no problem with you doing whatever you want to him.

But setting up some elaborate trap to get him yourself SPECIFICALLY so you can deny him his right to a trial is rediculous. And claiming it's self defense when you kill him is rediculous. It's why we have law enforcement. Set up a trap and have the police stake it out -- fine.

In September, police arrested Reynaldo Elias Rapalo, 32, and charged him with raping seven women between the ages of 11 and 79 in Little Havana.

Ewww, 79? Nasty
