Somebody help me out with downloading Linux... None of the FTPs seem to accept anonymous logins, wtf?

I've went to linux-mandrake.com and went to downloads, gotten the list of FTP sites, and I can't connect to any of them, it doesn't let me log in! What gives??

Can somebody help me out here? ... I'm looking for something along the lines of Linux Mandrake 7.1.

They do that from time to time; I've run in to it several times. Don't know why, unless they're at maximum users. Just try again later.

I tried yesterday as well as today, same business each time. If anybody spends mass amounts of time online and has a fast connection, as well as Mandrake 7.1, let me know if you can send it to me (ICQ or something).

Oh yeah and will Linux set up and run alright on my setup? :

K6-2/350 @ 412.5MHz
96MB 10ns PC66 SDRAM (64+32)
Quantum LM 20.5GB (7200rpm, 2MB, EIDE, bla hblah blah - not even using ATA33)
Voodoo Banshee (Guillemot) 16MB PCI
D-Link (based on RealTek I think) DFE-538TX (10/100mbps PCI)
SB16 ISA
3com internal 56k ISA (says "DSP" on it)

I think that's all the system info needed... I have a 'natural' keyboard and logitech mouse if that matters at all.

This Might Help

Mandrake is a good choice, it should work fine on that setup. I believe the Banshee is recognized by X windows, but I'm not positive.

I can overnight you a bootable Mandrake 7.0 CD, if you'd like.

That's a lot faster than 48-60 hours, if it's worth the shipping costs to you to get it sooner.

Don't have 7.1, though. 7.0 took me three days to get, I know how it goes to download 600+ MB files on 56K.
