What really irked me was that Mr. Rentacop wouldn't use his! What the hell is the point of having one if you're going to say "Nah, I don't wanna refill it" every time you need it?

Yeah that's absolutely retarded, there's no reason he shouldn't have used it :frown:

Bah I don't even care about the rentacop, we already knew the alternator was bad we just didn't have time to get it to the mechanic this week. I wish I would've fvcking known it was gonna catch fire.

Ford Country Squire LX, how'd you guys know?

Seems alot of Fords have caught fire recently!

Yeah but it was the alternator, almost 100% positive, and this alternator is only 4 months old. Just got it replaced not too long ago.

Serious BS, I bet you could sue his ass.

This goes on top of our van, which is currently 150 miles away, broken, and that mechanic has no clue what is wrong with it. The parts in question will cost us up to $500 including labor if we get the parts at cost from OUR mechanic.

I was laid off today :(

This is when the internet really needs a virtual bar. That sucks balls man. While this will probably cost me $200-300 upfront, plus $175 for the new CPU, plus $400-500 for our van, that's only $1000 tops. You could lost a lot of money from not having a job.

I'm truly sorry man. :beer::(

Well, since everyone is complaining, I'll toss mine in too:

The fill under my driveway has settled, the driveway is collapsing in the middle. It's going to cost $1,700 to get it fixed.

Fvck it. I'm getting two 's!

I thought lots of people hated you. Weren't you the one that threw the golf carts in the swimming pool? :)

Yeah, but nobody hated me enough to give me such a sh1tty day before. Usually it happens in increments, like hershey squirts or something, but today, nope, the sh1t hit the fan and it was one gigantic sh1t.

They caught one person who did that. I think I posted an update here actually. Some special ed kid. He didn't even have the keys, pushed the cart all the way across campus. Pretty fvcking impressive for a special ed kid. Apparently there were some others with him but they didn't have evidence to prove it and he wouldn't spill.

So I just realized, we've had this rental car now for about 10 days. And we're going to have it for who knows how much longer now that neither car works. How much do rental cars cost per day? Because that's a lot of money.

Anyone wanna buy my PS2? :(

Sorry to hear that, man. I've never had any spontaneous car fires (and god willing I never will :p), but I did have to dump quite a bit of money into my current car the first few months after I bought it when I kept getting stranded... (Not to mention my first car that left me stranded dozens of miles from any sign of civilization in the middle of the state :p)

At least you didn't get hurt. :)

Yeah, I thought about that, but all that litigious stuff really gives me gas.

Crap, that really sucks man. I thought I was having a bad day (had 5 tests yesterday, got all back today and didn't do quite so well on each) and then I had to walk home 4 miles in the heat.

Compared to your day, I'd rather have the one I just had ...

Mann, if I saw my car on fire, I'd run away since the first thing that pops into my mind is GTA:SA and how cars explode once they catch fire :p

At least you didn't get injured or hurt or anything like that ...

Insurance can't cover that? Rental's not cheap.

Doubt it. It never has in the past. I think we have State Farm right now, I'll tell my dad to check into it. I know it's considered cheap to get it for like $80 a day, I only hope they'll see we've rented from them before multiple times and maybe give us a discount?

I dunno, sh1t seems like it always happens all at once.

Bwahaha as sh1tty as it would have been, if my car had blown up I would have thought it was the coolest fvcking thing ever. There's a certain point where it's not sad, it's just funny, and after the lady called 911 and I got out there with the security guard I just started laughing. If it had blown up, I think I would've only cried over the fact that I didn't have pics to post of it blowing up.

Especially cuz the way they blow up in GTA is so sweet.
