Oh, so talking about jizzing all over computer hardware is OK, but we can't talk about our olfactory sense and how it relates to the way flatulence smells?

Obviously fake. It would have been much less embarrassing to just say "I spilled egg nog on my card," or something similar. Plus, if you're going to use a cop out like "my friend did so and so" you don't put friend in quotes!
 
What's more amazing to me than the actual act of soiling his vid card is the fact that he admitted doing it.
