Somebody change my mind

I'm going to get the IC7-MAX3 and P4 3.2C (or E, not sure). That's a hella lot of money. Can anyone convince me to get the IC7-MAXII and P4 2.8 and save $140? What kind of performance difference is there between these two mobos? I know there are a few extra features but what about speed and overclocking. Also, do you think the 3.2Ghz is worth $100 more than the 2.8? I won't be able to upgrade for a while after this (years?) so I would appreciate expert advice here 😛

From the looks of the rig you have in your sig, I'd say you don't need an upgrade, but that's your call. I'd go with the MaxII and a 2.8C, because the price difference doesn't justify the performance difference and features to me. Peace.

Tis not the point. Of course I don't need and upgrade. Honestly, how many "PC enthusiasts" really do? 😛 But I think you guys are right. I'll forgo the more expensive items and get the others. Of course I just decided to spend the money on an IPAQ 2215 instead so by the time I get around to upgrading my PC these parts will be cheaper anyway.
