Some Win2000 repair help needed

BACKGROUND
I was having trouble booting up my Windows 2000 system possibly due to a couple things:

1) making some careless changes to my services
2) I just recently installed my printer. After a reboot it PnP detected it and for some freak reason wanted to set it up again. I cancelled out since I had deleted the temp dir of my printer drivers.

Anyway, my comp locked up. I safe mode logged in and made some changes to reset the services, ect.. that I thought would help. I had limited luck running scandisk/chkdsk on drives and norton disk doctor. Finally I settled on rebuilding the partition info. None of those helped so I just did an emergency Windows 2000 repair.

QUESTION
The Windows repair search and replaced files in my /WINNT
directory that were not from the original install.

Do I need to reinstall VIA 4-in-1 drivers, win2000 SP2, and other updates or am I okay?

Everything seems fine graphic wise, and despite the loss of my Desktop icon placement and a few other snags, all seems well now. Any advice?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my plight and for any suggestions you can offer.
