The pitter-patter of furry feet is coming to the Louisville Zoo's Gorilla Forest.

Makari, a 16-year-old member of the Western Lowland gorilla troupe led by a silverback male named Jojo, is due to give birth in late February.

After several weeks of tests and monitoring, zoo officials will formally announce the pregnancy this morning. If all goes well, the baby will go on exhibit almost immediately, said William Foster, the zoo's director.

Never did get to NYC to see Bat Boy: The Musical. 🙁

Bat Boy is one helluva fighter...did his best to try and root out Osama in Afghanistan.
