I have a LeadTek ti4600.
I recently reinstalled 2k and just yesterday got 3dmark. Started 3dmark, got D3D error E_OUTOFMEMORY and figured it was a D3D problem with the nvidia drivers (40.72, 41.03, 41.09).
I was right, installed my older leadtek drivers and it worked fine. Performance wise it seems to run a bit better, but I am a little consfused that all of a sudden the D3D would screw up with the newer drivers.
Here what I was doing before 3dmark was installed
I had been running 41.03 since I reinstalled 2k (about 3 weeks). I had been playing GTA3 pretty frequently.
I overclock my video card to 325/710 (I have gone as high as 350/750 without problems).
I played GTA3 some more.
Later on I installed 3dmark and tried to run it and got that error. After that, GTA3 started saying something like "You need 12mb or more of video memory to run GTA3."
Like I said, I installed my old leadtek drivers and everything is fine now.
After this, I got my 3dmarks and decided to overclock. I set that card to the usual setting I use (325/710). Started getting artifacts all over the place and win2k rebooted. Boots up and gives a blue screen about vga problems. Now this does not make sense to me, since I have run that card at 325/710 for as long as I can remember (I used the 300/650 setting for a relatively short period of time when I got the card back in august; I have used 350/750 for hours before, but never kept it at that, since it only gives my another 15 FPS or so in q3). I believe the card is still working fine, since, at post, there are no beeps. I think there is a problem with win2k now. Tried safe mode, freezes during boot up. There is only one differences, I am not using coolbits or the nvidia overclocking utils. I am now using the leadtek overclocking stuff, but I cannot see how this can crash windows.

When I tried doing safe mode, it crashed. I just remember I could use the last configuration. Sometimes the most easiest answer is the most obvious, I overlooked it.

I still would like to know why the newer nvidia drivers are having problems with my card all of a sudden.
