Ok, here I go.

1. What is the difference between using an inline pump with a reservoir and without a reservoir? Why would you use one method or the other?

2. How many degrees difference are we talking between a 15$ and a 50$ waterblock.

3. Is there an optimal place for the radiator? (eg. Just before the waterblock)

That's all I can think of now, but no doubt in an hour or two I will come up with some more. ;)

Thanx in advance

DISCLAIMER: I do not have watercooling, but I have done quite a bit of research.

1) An inline pump (or any pump) placed in a reservoir will warm the water 2-3 degrees C (the water will be absorbing the heat from the pump). Therefore, your temps may be 2 degrees higher. In the grand scheme of watercooling, this doesn't matter, unless obesession is part of your character. ;)

2) I do not have a 100% researched answer on this, but I can't image the difference being greater than 3-4 degrees.

3) If you're talking about the order of water flow, I believe it's pump -> radiator -> waterblock -> pump. There are, however different theories on this.

The BEST answer I can give you is this: go to Overclockers.com, pick the Watercooling section in the left frame, and start READING every article there. I would guess that better than 90% of my questions were answered at that site.

Thanx for the info, that makes things a bit more clear. Can anyone else confirm this info or add to it?
