I normally get 3:30 hours of usage out of this thing but since the reformat/reinstall of windows...It's been running for a little over 4 hours now and the battery gauge stated it still have 2 hours left.:eek::eek::eek:

I'm not a laptop guy but, why would you own one that only had 3 1/2 hours of usage?

It sounds like you cleared out all the little bugs that infest a computer and drain it's power but they will start spreading again over time so make sure you keep the spray handy.

Higher cpu utilization uses more power. Since you cleared out all the junk, less stuff is running, and you're getting better battery life.

Or possibly the power strategy settings were wrong, and the reinstall reset them to defaults, which are probably pretty good for most laptops.

haha it must have been infected badly.

and lol at people who dont understand why that would affect battery life :)

it's people who dont understand that who dont have a basic grasp of existence.....or at least not on the level of awareness that (others) are.

your awareness is exactly like that, more crap you have running, the more energy your gonna use (your "spacesuit" has ways of making up for this..... and you feel it (especially if you dont maintain a good diet and level of physical fitness) anyway, im rambling...
