Me doing some back flips = not so bad after you get over the fear of not landing on your head 😱

Standing back summy = easy if you can jump well after getting the technique down. Less fear of landing on your head if you jump well.

Standing front = tough to do as you have no momentum and you have to generate all the rotation from a stand still.

Round off flick <- first time I manage to do them on my own without the coach for support.

Had a few near miss's now in the video. The last back flip was dodgy, wonder how my hand wasn't bust in that!

Back summy I was just tired at the end.

Front summy well the first was hard as didn't rotate enoug, but the floor is soft.

Haha, that last backflip sucked

edit: that gym reminds of that video with the guy doing the crazy martial arts flips and stuff

edit 2: you linked to standing front twice

Good show! Are you training for gymnastics or just to learn for fun?

40 yrs ago in our teens my bro & I took judo lessons. I still react properly in a fall.
Breaking a fall w/o hurting myself. That training will be remembered for a lifetime.

Thanks for the post..............:sun:

40yrs ago?! You must be about 55 then.

Yeah I had a few Judo lessons. They were cool. Good to learn.

I train for fun and for strength development. Far too late to compete as I'm too old and too big. Need to be smaller and shorter to have any sort of edge on the better Gymnasts. Good for fun and skills.

Yeah cuz it hurts so much less to just break your neck and be over with it. 😉

ups

Just keep your arms straight and you will be alright says my coach 😛. I have sure enough bottled it a fair few times before I can now confidently do it.
