Some videos mass of color ... HELP!!

I just switched from my old CRT monitor to a new Hyundai B70A LCD. But when i tried to play some of my videos, all I see is a mass of moving, bright colors. This only happens for certain videos. I installed all the codecs and the driver for the monitor but it still didn't work. Connections are tight. Any suggestions? I am using a dvi adapter to use this monitor.

What type of videos (xvid, divx, mkv, etc) and what type of player? One thing I've found that helps is clearing out all those old .dlls and crap that older installations of some codecs install but never remove. This has caused problems for me with bad audio and bad video decoding of some mkv and ogg videos.

Sounds like maybe an overlay setting issue perhaps........
Happened to me, it's infamous after installing battlefield2 to start happening.
I Googled a quick simple fix for this problem.
