Some Suggestions on a gaming rig

Was looking to upgrade my current Setup:

Opteron 170 @ 2.6ghz
DFI SLi-D
GSkill 2x1 4000
2x 8800GTS 640
sata 2 seagate hd


Was looking into the core 2 duo market. I like to game, and overclocking for me is just to improve my FPS and stuff in WoW.

I got around 400 to send, any suggestions? thanks

Get an E6750, a ~$100 650i chipset motherboard, and $50-$75 worth of PC6400 RAM. That way, you'd be able to keep both 8800GTS's.

Dunno, your specs seem pretty maxed out for WoW to me. What resolution you run at? Does your framerate dip in certain areas?

I should've added more info. I play wow mostly, but will be looking into Crysis and other games hitting the market come Dec.

In wow the frames always drop in shatt, i can be at 100fps then drop down to 20-30ish.

If you wait long enough, you might look at the 9450? QC will give you more future-proofing, as basically everything in the pipe takes advantage of multi-core.

keeping my 8800gts 640mb
keeping my case, p180

I'm wondering if i should kee my 2 seagates or go with 2 raptors, this guy i know is looking to part with them.
