I was debating between the VX922, 90gx2 or VX2025. After seeing Buy.coms current sale of the vx2025 it was a no brainer. Im gettin gthe VX2025 for $339 shipped after an additional 10% coupon buy.com sent me in an email for being a valued customer who doesn't shop their enough ;).

Or you can get something like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824014105
http://benq.us/Products/LCD/index.cfm?product=593&page=specifications

And spend a little more on your video card. You will need a beefy card to power a 20" display. I own 2 BenQ monitors and a ViewSonic VA1912wb, and the BenQs are both better LCDs. There is also a 2 ms Acer/BenQ LCD to compete with the VX922:

I'm a bit partial to Acer/BenQ as I have had fewer problems with them compared to Viewsonic LCDs at work.

That ViewSonic VX2025WM 20.1" deal looks pretty good, though.

Edit: The VX2025 looks to be an MVA panel, which should be a lot nicer than the BenQ's TN panel. It looks like the one to buy.

The FP202W is certainly inferior to VX2025 from the reviews I've seen so I'd think the VX2025WM is a great choice.

I have a Viewsonic vx922 and I play games alot. It is a great monitor for this, no problems at all.

The only thing though is that it does support 75hz but I have yet to figure out how to get this in games. I have it in windows, but when starting the game (I play mostly Battlefield 2) it only support 60hz. I prefer to have vsync on and that means I only get a maximum of 60fps. I would prefer to get 75.

Anyone knows how this can be fixed?

Have you reinstalled your video drivers after you got the VX922? When I first plugged in my VX922 in my nvidia control panel it gave me options for 60 or 75 refresh rate, but like you said in bf2 only gave me option for 60. I reinstalled my driver (latest from nvidia) now I only have the 60 hertz option.

Reinstall your driver and get back to me. FYI 60 is more than enough for this monitor and I also run vsync on. I max out at 60fps on cs source and bf2 but it sure looks good with no tearing or slow downs.

I just wanted to share my experience. I bought the VX2025WM this past friday and I must say I wasn't to pleased. It performed just as well as my Dell 2005FPW. So I decided to return it because I didn't want to own another WS monitor that blurred just like my Dell. I decided to exchange it for a Samsung 940BF since it's currently listed as #2 of 7 in the LCD Guide sticky. I must say I was truly impressed and never thought that I'd find an LCD that would perform just as wel as a CRT. However, I didn't stop there... I wanted a WS LCD that performed just as well as the 940BF (or close to it) and better than my 2005FPW (and that POS VX2025WM). I say POS because Viewsonic's website claims no ghosting.

Well, I discovered two WS LCDs by Samsung this weekend: 940BW and 205BW. All I can say is that after 4 trips to Fry's this weekend, I'm not going back. Read my comments here:

EDIT: I really wish I could have tried the NEC 90GX2 and the 20WMGX2; which I think are two promising monitors. However, for the price, I think the Samsung WS LCDs are well WORTH the money... especially since Fry's (Outpost.com) currently is offering rebates.

I bought my 205BW for $349 with a $50 MIR and my friend bought his 940BW for $269 with a $40 MIR. This is well worth the money in terms of price and performance if you ask me.
