I recently migrated all my PC's insides to a new case, (from Super Lanboy to CM 690) and slapped a ZeroTherm Nirvana 120 on my CPU.

Reason I did this is to have a more stable OC off course. Max I could reach before the upgrade was 2.8GHz, and that wasn't always stable.

Anyway, I'd like to know how many days I should wait before the thermal grease "cures" and I can go to 2.8GHz again. Can I at least go to 2.3-2.5 already?

Another thing I'd like to know is this:

Given my CPU has only 2mb cache, how fast should it run to match an e6600 with 4mb cache running at 3.0GHz for example? Not trying to break any speed records, just curious.

Cure time is dependent on your particular flavor of thermal compound. Cure time will not prevent you from beginning your O/C. Once "cured", CPU core temps will be a couple of degrees C lower than when you installed. Temps should be better than your old build almost immediately.

You graysky's O/C guide - it's sticky'd here - and get going with your O/C. One step at a time - mem stable first.
