Some Sci-Fi cross action?

I record and watch the sci-f shows Battlestar Galactica and Threshold. Anyone else notice that the recent episode of BSG had Sebastian Spence who was Cade Foster on First Wave as a guest star? Then on Threshold(showing at the same time on another network) they had a character whose importance was realized when is real name was found out- Joshua Cade (Joshua being a pivotol character on first wave and foster the stars first name)? Plus their was another character named Foster in the same episode?
I guess the sci-fi world is getting into the cross references.

Interesting but not so new, inside references have been around for ages.

A couple more for you:

Babylon 5 had psi-cop "Bester" named for SF author Alfred Bester, author of "the demolished man" about telepaths.

One of the new invasion shows has an "Anne Caffrey" character named after Anne McCaffrey of Dragonriders of Pern fame.

Great book.

B5/Star Trek crossovers were pretty standard. The seer that told Londo and Vir that they would both be Centauri emperors was Majel Barret, Gene Roddenberry's wife and/or Lwaxana Troi on TNG.
