Some RAID info if you please...

I'm currently awaiting a KT7-RAID and Duron 700MHz. I was wondering about setting up two harddrives in a RAID setup, but I don't really know much about RAID. I would be using RAID 0? the striping one to get faster performance. Are there any compatibility problems with Win 98SE, or other programs? Is the performance increase really worth the cost? And would it be better to get a seconds 20GB Western Digital 5400rpm drive, or sell the one I've got and get two IBM DeckStar 7200rpm ones(price/performance question really)? Thanks for any help!
