Some questions regarding race for a class

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here was bored (or helpful) enough to answer some questions. This is part of an intro anthropology class assignment. The first question is a little vague, but answer it whichever way you feel is suitable. All I'm asking for is a couple of sentences.. lets try not to start any flame wars or religious discussions here 😉

A) How many races are there?
B) Please name or identify these races.
C) What basic principle or set of characteristics did you use (or do Americans use) to determine these different racial categories?

Thanx a lot for your help in advance. If you could provide your age, gender and occupation along with your answer your help would be GREATLY appreciated!! 😀

anyone have any opinions? One person told me that since each country has its own culture and a unique way of living, every country has its own race. Do you think the canadians would be considered a different race than americans?
"yeah, cuz they say eh, and ppl from the states say uh"

I'm not sure if i completely agree with that.. do you?
